I am a pre-doctoral reseacher within the DEPART project at the Department of Government at the University of Vienna. Previously, I obtained a Master's degree in Political Science from the University of Montreal (Canada). During my PhD, I have also been a visiting researcher at the CEVIPOL at the Université libre de Bruxelles.
My research interests include electoral behavior, accountability, technocratic attitudes, political careers and gender and politics. In my PhD project, I study how party-independent politicians impact electoral accountability and voter turnout. My dissertation draws on a combination of multi-country survey experiments and causal inference designs.
My work has been published in the European Journal of Political Research.
